Q:
Factor these expressions.x^2 + 7x + 10x^2 - 3x + 2-x^2 + 3x + 409y^2 - 36-x^2 + 5x - 4
Accepted Solution
A:
Hello There!
(x + 2)(x + 5)
To check you can expand it:
x² + 2x + 5x + 10
= x² + 7x + 10
So we know it is correct.
(x - 2)(x - 1)
To check you can expand it:
x² - 2x - x + 2
= x² - 3x +2
So we know it is correct
-(x + 5)(x - 8)
To check you can expand it:
-x² - 5x + 8x + 40
-x² + 3x + 40
So we know it is correct
9(y + 2)(y - 2)
To check you can expand it:
9y² - 36
So we know it is correct.
-(x - 1)(x - 4)
To check you can expand it:
-x² + 5x - 4.
So we know it is correct.
Hope This Helps You!
Good Luck :)
